An Identity Crisis

Jamie just could not decide on one costume this year so she alternated between the three.  I loved the witch the best.  It was my costume when I was her age.

Love Those Snowy Days

Everyone here has been enjoying the snow.  The kiddos love to play in it.  We are so lucky to have a sled hill very near our house.  The kids have been over there every day to slide.

General Cuteness

One of his favorite places to be is on the cupboards.  He has recently found light switches and love for me to hold him up and turn them on and off over and over and over.........

Evan Turns 4!

Wow! A big 4 years old.  I love this quirky, fun, gregarious, high energy, stubborn, sweet, sassy, star wars lovin  kid!
He always keeps the whole family on their toes.
Two funny stories about Evan:
One day he decided that if I would not take him to his friends house that he would just take himself.  He hopped on his scooter and was on his way.  I did not realize that he was headed out.  A few minutes later my neighbor from across the street came over and said, "I have so and so I the phone and they found Evan on the other side of the river headed to his friends."  I hopped in the car and drove over and sure enough there he was scootering along with some ladies in my ward following him in their car.  The good news is, he would not get in their car.  They did not have any candy, gum, popsicles, or puppies, I guess.  So thanks to all my guardian angels who watch out for my precious boy.

And, the other night we were in the car.  He was sucking on his shirt and getting it really wet.  I asked him to stop and he said "But mom there is drink in it."  I know, gross, but still kind of funny.

Grandma turns 60

My mom turned 60 this year!  We had a great party.   I spent a lot of hours scanning old pictures of my mom and making a slide show.  I thought I would share some of my favorites of my mom.  My mom raised 9 kids when she was younger than me.  After she divorced she raised 5 of us by herself through most of our teen years.  What a super woman.  We were not easy kids.  But, I have to say we all turned out well.  So thanks Mom!

This is me when I was several weeks old.

Jamie Lost her 2 Front Teeth

Pictures to come at a later date.

Wendover Air Show

Today we went to the airshow in Wendover!  It was sooo much fun!  We loved the F-16 Fighting Falcon and the Super Hornet.  Man,  those planes are fast and loud.  By the time the sound hits you the planes are long gone.  The kids had fun though it was very hot.  We went played at the park in Wendover and went to a mediocre buffet.  Of course we found a cool letterbox in Wendover.  We are adding more to our book every week!

New Stamp Book

OK so apparently it is tacky to have a stamp log with lined paper.  So I went on a search to get a new book with plain paper and found one.  I am sad that my other book will be retired.  We went to the zoo yesterday.  What do you know?  There is one there too.  The baby elephant was so darling she is worth going to the zoo just to see her.

I think I am obsessed

This letter boxing thing is getting out of hand.  Chris is sure I am crazy.  But it is sooo much fun.  I found another stamp today at KOPFC.  Who knew??  I go there all the time and it was right under my nose.  Ask me to show you my book.  I will.  P.S.  We are going to Bear Lake and Las Vegas.  I already have my plan to find letterboxes in both those places.

Hoarding Evan

Evan and Jamie both have a drawer that they keep little things in.  Evan tends to hoard things in there.  Recently found: a half eaten bannana, 5 boxes of jello, a water bottle, ect.  Whatever he finds and takes a liking to goes in the drawer.  Yesterday I had my wallet out by the computer to pay some bills and today it was missing all day.  What do you know I found it in the drawer at 10:00 p.m..  Thank goodness I was starting to panic.   And as long as we're on the subject of Evan, he said the cutest thing the other day.  He has taken a real liking to Star Wars lately.  He won't go anywhere with out his light saber and is always ready for a light saber fight.  We were walking somewhere the other day and he said "Mom, I'm addicted to star wars."   I had to agree with him.
Evan will be 4 years old soon.  He has been planning his party for the past 6 months.  I guess we will have to have a real bash for him.

Slip and Slide

I got out the slip and slide the other day. The kids had fun. The pictures speak for themselves. Evan loves his mask and snorkel!

6 Fish Family

We started a new hobby today. So much fun! It is called Letterboxing. It is a little like geocaching, but this is how it goes. You go to the letter boxing website to find directions to letterboxes hidden all over. When you find one, there is a stamp in there for your book and you stamp your stamp in their book. I decided on a fish stamp that has 3 fish on it and stamp it twice so there are 6 fish. One for each member of our family. It is like a giant treasure hunt. We found 3 letterboxes today and were unsuccessful finding our 4th. Give it a try!

Half way to Goodbye

Casey turned nine years old the other day. I can't believe it. It does not seem possible that he is that old. A talk show host I used to listen to always said that nine years old is half way to goodbye because they will only be in your care for nine more years before they turn 18. I wonder what the next 9 years will hold?

Funny Faces

Whenever I get out the camera the older two kids like to pull funny faces instead of smiling cute. Here are some of the most recent shots.
Casey took some pretty bad ones (or good ones) of me pulling faces, but because I am in control of this blog they will not get published.

Easter Eggs

Ryan first try at a hard boiled egg. Should babies eat eggs?

Evan had to color all his eggs green. He didn't even consider a different color.

The kids were having a lot of fun with thier stuffed animals posing them for pictures with the Easter Eggs. This one with the bunny turned out cute.

All our eggs in one basket. I don't think you are supposed to do that.

I guess it stays. This one's for you Sue!

The past few weeks I have been toying with the idea of deleting the blog. (I am not very good at it.) With some nudging from my friends I decided it will stay and I will renew my efforts at posting some semi interesting content. One of my frustrations with the blog was that my computer was sooo slow. We have upgraded our computer so maybe it will be easier for me to post.

St. Patricks Day Dinner

All the kids were excited for this day. They got green spaghetti for dinner. They all remembered last year when we had green pancake. As you can see no one got pinched.
