Sticks and Stones

I meant to write about this last week but could not get to it. What a week! I started our on Monday with J falling off her scooter again and requiring 2 stitches in her forehead. She fell and had 6 stitches next to her eye about a month ago. On Friday E fell on the scooter and cut his nose. (See post below) He went to the emergency room and they glued the cut shut instead of stitching it. Then to top it off on Sunday I started having a pain, I went to the emergency room and wouldn't you know it... another kidney stone. They gave me so much pain medication it took me a whole 24 hrs. to sleep it off. I'm glad the week is over and I hope we do not have many weeks like this in the future.

Soccer Success

Evan was so cute at soccer this week. He actually played like we knew he could. I think the difference was that we took him to Grandmas for the older kids games and he was not sitting at the field for 2 hours before his game.
After this game he was walking around the house with a whistle and a ball claiming to be coach Dave and saying "you made a goal" and then high fiving everyone.

Here we are hanging out in the shade. Photos are compliments of Evan. Pretty good for a three year old photographer.

Jamie scored a goal this week too and her team won thier game. Casey's team tied and though I did not see his game I heard he played some great defense.

What a Guy!

On Friday I so needed to get my hair done so Chris took Evan on his Pre-school field trip to the zoo. He even took the baby. It looks like they had such a great time!
I am a little jealous that I did not get to see the baby elephant and we may just have to go back to see him.

This is the fun toy he got for his birthday. Of course it is CARS.
Grandma made him a really yummy birthday cake. My favorite Jello cake with cool whip frosting. I was so sad I couldn't have any it is loaded with dairy.

This card is cool! When you open it make music. Evan walked around for days carrying this every where and march/dancing to the music.
Evan turned 3. But if you ask him he insists he is still 2. We had a really fun birthday party at Grandma Kathy's. She decorated everything in CARS paraphernalia.

Casey's Baptism

Casey turned 8 this past summer and chose to be baptized.
We had a great day with many friends from our ward family attending.
He was surely supported by his many friends. Thanks to everyone who attended and especially to those who helped.

Bear Lake Bliss

We had a great time playing in the sand. The kids loved digging and building sand castles.

Family photo at the beach. Amy and Ryan spent most of our time in the shade. I suppose next year he will want to run around and get all sandy with the rest of them. They grow up so fast.

Happy Air Force Week

We went to the airshow this past weekend at Hill Air Force Base. I was a little hesitant to go because I wasn't sure what it was or if it would be fun. WOW we had a great time. We set up a little "camp" with our chairs and umbrella and sat and watched the airplanes go over. The Thunderbirds were amazing to watch. What an awesome Military we have here in the U.S. All the planes move too fast for us to get a very good picture of them in the air. We also enjoyed all the planes flying over the valley all week long. You never knew what you were going to see next.

R was blessed on Sunday. He was so handsome in his blue outfit. Bishop Purser blessed him at sacrament meeting and gave him a beautiful blessing.
It was a long day for R. Here he is all tuckered out with his daddy.

Her I am with him before we left for church. Thank goodness everyone only looks at the baby!
Thanks to all our family and friends who came.

We're ready for summer!

Sharing popscicles with neighbors!

C received the Principals Award for outstanding citizenship and academics. We are so proud of him. He worked hard this year. He is pictured here with his teacher.

The Truth About Us

Frequently I look at peoples blogs and they have lots of cute pictures about what they did and how wonderful their family is and I start to feel bad. I have to remind myself that those are pictures of everybody at their best. I hope this picture cheers everyone up who has ever felt the way I felt. This is us at bedtime on an average day. The house is a mess. I am tired, I look bad, and I am grumpy. Our two year old hits and kicks, our five year old cries and sucks her thumb, the baby just cries and our seven year old ...well don't let the smile fool you. Hope you all feel better now!

J had so much fun at preschool this year! These are some pic's from her graduation. She learned a lot and will be very prepared for kindergarten next year.

It was cold and rainy but we had so much fun last year we went up for the day again. We all had a great time and no one wanted to leave.

Memorial Day

Here are the boys who all got extremely muddy but had a great time.
